Here at The Physio Lounge we have a long-standing relationship with United Utilities providing Physiotherapy services to all employees either in person at one of our North West clinics or virtually online.

UU Cares About The Health And Wellbeing Of Their Colleagues And We Work Together To Ensure We Provide Easy Access And The Best Possible Care.

There are multiple ways in which you can access our services as a UU colleague. Whether you are based at the head office Lingley Mere site, in a call centre in Whitehaven or out in the field, you can access our services as part of your employee benefits.

WPA

You can utilise your colleague healthcare scheme for physiotherapy and we’ll bill WPA directly, leaving you to focus on your treatment and getting pain-free. Depending on the scheme you’re on (colleague or management) you have varying levels of cover for Physio treatment:

Workstation Assessments

We work with United Utilities to provide Workstation assessments for colleagues working from home. Due to the current pandemic many of UU’s colleagues were moved to working from home. To ensure colleagues have the correct set up and equipment to prevent injury we carry out a detailed assessment of the colleagues workstation set up and provide recommendations via a report back to their line manager. Occupational Health

United Utilities use Optima for all occupational health referrals. When a colleague is referred via occupational health for physiotherapy treatment they will be contacted by a third party company called IPRS. We are registered as a physiotherapy practice with the IPRS supply chain and are able to provide treatment for all UU employees via this method. Colleagues must request to be seen at The Physio Lounge, Lingley Mere if you would like to be seen by one of our team. Otherwise, you may be sent elsewhere.

If you would like to be referred via occupational health then please speak to your manager or the Health and Wellbeing team at United Utilities.
Once we receive the referral from Optima/IPRS, our admin team ill be in touch to arrange your assessment.

We accept all major healthcare insurers, if you don’t see yours listed don’t worry, we may still be able to help, just get in touch and we’ll do what we can to help!
